Employer guidelines
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Phalano Job works when job seekers can trust what they read and employers can trust who applies. These guidelines set out what we expect from every employer and recruiter who posts jobs or contacts candidates here. Our terms of service still apply in full.
1. Represent your company truthfully
- The company name, details and PAN, VAT or registration number you give us must be genuine and must belong to the company you are hiring for.
- If you recruit for a client, you need their permission to post on their behalf, and you must not present yourself as one of their employees.
- We review every company before its jobs go live. We may ask for more proof, or pause an account while we check.
2. Post real, open jobs
- Every job must be a vacancy that exists now, at a company that is operating now — not a role you hope to fund or fill later.
- The title, location, work mode, job type and requirements should describe the job as it really is.
- If you state a salary, it must be one you are prepared to pay.
- Post each vacancy once. Repeating the same job to stay near the top of search results is not allowed.
3. Never ask candidates for money
Nobody should have to pay to get a job. Do not ask a candidate to pay you, or anyone you send them to, at any stage — to apply, to be interviewed, to be trained or to be hired. That includes registration, processing and training fees, deposits, and conditions to buy a product or sign up to another service.
4. Keep it about hiring
Phalano Job is for filling jobs. Do not use a job post, an invitation or a message to:
- sell or promote a product or service
- recruit people into multi-level marketing, franchise, referral or “be your own boss” schemes
- offer courses, training or internships that the candidate pays for
- look for investors or business partners
If a job uses an external application link, it must lead to the application for that job — not to a sales page, a payment, or a chat group.
5. Reach out with care
- Invite candidates from the talent pool only when you would genuinely consider them for the role. Bulk or untargeted invitations may be limited.
- Use what you learn about a candidate — contact details, CV, work history — only to assess them for your vacancy. Do not share it, sell it or add them to a marketing list.
6. Treat candidates fairly and with respect
- Keep requirements tied to what the job actually needs.
- Communicate respectfully. Harassment, threats and pressure are not tolerated.
- Keep assessments proportionate. Do not ask candidates to do real, unpaid work for your business as part of applying.
- Keep application statuses up to date, so candidates know where they stand.
7. Play by the rules
Do not open extra accounts to get around a limit, a review or a suspension, or try to work around these guidelines or our terms of service in any other way.
If these guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may edit or remove a job, ask you to verify your company again, limit what your account can do, or suspend or close it. Serious or repeated breaches — fraud and charging candidates above all — can lead to permanent removal without warning.
Report a problem
If a job, an employer or a message looks wrong — especially anything asking for money — email support@phalanojob.com with the job title or link and what happened. We review every report. We may not be able to tell you what we did about it, but reports are how we keep Phalano Job safe for everyone.
