Position: Junior Assistant

Monthly Gross Salary: NPR 26,614 (including SSF)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Central Office, Kausaltar, Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur

1. Job Purpose

The Jr. Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate day-to-day financial records, ensuring proper documentation of financial transactions, and supporting the Finance Department in routine accounting and reporting activities. The role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a professional corporate environment.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the company’s accounting software, Sky Wings.
• Maintain and organize vouchers, bills, invoices, receipts, payment records and other financial documents.
• Verify supporting documents before recording transactions and identify discrepancies for review.
• Assist in maintaining general ledgers, party ledgers, cashbooks, bank records, and other accounting schedules.
• Support bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable tracking, and other routine accounting activities.
• Assist in preparing day-to-day, monthly, and periodic financial reports as assigned.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of VAT, TDS and other tax-related records.
• Ensure proper filing, documentation and retrieval of financial records for internal review and audit purposes.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and colleagues to obtain missing documents and resolve routine accounting queries.
• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Head.

3. Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transaction recording.
• Familiarity with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS) is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering and data organization.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, integrity and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet reporting deadlines.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

5. Performance Expectations

The selected candidate is expected to maintain accurate and timely accounting records, ensure complete supporting documentation, follow established financial controls and procedures and report pending issues or discrepancies to the Finance Head promptly.
