About the Role
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to design the Datum website from the ground up. This is a founding role. You will shape how architects, developers and homeowners first meet Datum online, and the site needs to carry the same clarity, precision and restraint as the products we bring. You’ll work closely with the founding team and own the website’s design from early research through to a launched, working product.
What You’ll Do
- Understand Datum’s audiences (architects, interior designers, developers, contractors and homeowners) and how each one researches building systems.
- Plan the website’s structure, user flows and content hierarchy so visitors can find the right product and information quickly.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs for desktop and mobile.
- Design clear product pages that explain technical systems (windows, doors, facades, skylights) in a way that is both accurate and easy to grasp.
- Design pages that invite visitors to book a visit to the Experience Centre or request a consultation.
- Help define Datum’s digital visual language: typography, layout, grid, colour use, photography direction and iconography.
- Build and maintain a design system and reusable component library in Figma.
- Prepare clean handoff files and work with developers to make sure the final build matches the design.
- Test designs with real users, gather feedback and keep improving the site after launch.
- Support related design needs as the company grows, such as presentations, brochures and digital materials.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX or web design.
- A strong portfolio that shows real website projects, with your process as well as final screens.
- Advanced skills in Figma (auto layout, components, variants and prototyping).
- Solid grasp of UX fundamentals: information architecture, user flows, usability and accessibility.
- Strong sense of typography, grids, spacing and visual hierarchy, with a preference for clean, minimal design.
- Experience designing responsive, mobile-first websites.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how designs get built, so your work is practical to develop.
- Comfortable working remotely, managing your own time and communicating clearly in English and Nepali.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for architecture, interiors, construction, real estate or premium product brands.
- Familiarity with Webflow, Framer or WordPress.
- Skills in motion design, micro-interactions or 3D product visuals.
- Interest in architecture and how buildings are made.
What We Offer
- Salary of NPR 40,000 – 50,000 per month, based on experience and portfolio.
- Fully remote work with flexible hours.
- A founding role with real ownership: you will define how Datum looks and feels online.
- Direct collaboration with the founding team, with room to grow as the company expands.
